What are the benefits of cacao?
Cacao is rich in antioxidants and contains 40 times (!) more antioxidants than blueberries. As free radicals also age our bodies, cacao’s antioxidants contribute to slowing aging in ourselves.
Cacao is also rich in flavonoids, studies show regular consumption of cacao can lower blood pressure, improve blood flow and reduce risk of heart disease. Studies also show flavonoids to support memory, focus and prevent against age-related cognitive decline.

Cacao is the highest plant-based source of iron and one of the highest for magnesium. Cacao has more calcium than cow’s milk at 160mg per 100g vs 125mg per 100ml of milk. Cacao also contains zinc, potassium and chromium.
